Now your mundane travel is going to get a lot more exciting! Taking its marketing to another level, Aamir Khan has taken over Google Maps all over India. Confused? Let us explain. Aamir, who is playing the character of Firangi Mallah in his upcoming magnum opus Thugs of Hindostan, will help people navigate through Indian roads.
The team of Thugs of Hindostan has joined hands with Google Maps for a one-of-its kind innovation. Commuters will have the option to drive along with Firangi on their Android or IOS smartphones. What’s humourous is that the users will find Aamir riding his pet donkey from the film throughout the journey. Firangi’s catchy dialogues from the film that have been loved by audiences like “1-2-3 quick march”, etc for a unique user experience on the app.
“We had to think of creating a first time, unparalleled and unrepeatable marketing idea to promote this film. And in Google Maps we found a perfect partner to do so. Google Maps is now a household name in India and is extensively used to travel around in our daily lives. Thugs of Hindostan also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles. The film, which has been directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, will release a day after Diwali on November 8.
The song teasers of the film have already created a storm on social media. The makers have released three song teasers so far – Vashmalle, Suraiyya and Manzoor-E-Khuda.
Movie is set to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, boasts of jaw-dropping action sequences and edge-of-the-seat thrill.
