Additional Rs 100 Crore Infused Into ‘2.0’ Budget for VFX?

2.0, starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, is perhaps one of the most anticipated films of our times. But you would have to wait quite a bit longer to watch it. According to reports, another whopping Rs 100 crore is being added to the reported Rs 400 crore budget of the film to shoulder the high-end VFX.

2.0 is now scheduled to release on Republic Day 2019 after repeated delays. According to reports, director Shankar, known for his attention to detail, had been unhappy with the initial VFX work. The makers want to ensure the VFX of the film matches international standards. According to DNA, this is what has led to the infusion of more money into the project.

The makers of 2.0 have blown our minds with their out of the box concepts in the marketing strategy. Right from the posters on Hot air balloon tour to the lavish audio launch event in Dubai every campaign of the film has grabbed great attention from the audience. It is the first Indian film, which has been completely shot in 3D and will be released in 3D formats in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi simultaneously. We can’t wait to watch this larger than life film on the silver screen. Are you also excited about this mega-budget project? Share your thoughts in the comment below.
