What is e-sim?
Embedded-Subscriber Identity Module (eSIM) stays on the device and cannot be physically pulled out like the traditional SIM slots. It can be used in a variety of devices including smartphones. E-SIMs work in the same manner as the traditional SIMs but are less prone to mechanic failures.
E-SIM can be activated remotely by the supported service provider. For example, if you want to switch from Aitel to Jio, you don’t have to buy a physical card and place it inside the device. Apple will associate with these Airtel and Jio for eSIM support on iPhones in India.
