The wireless earphones will be available on OnePlus’s official website for Rs 3,990.
At the OnePlus 6 event, OnePlus took the wraps off the OnePlus Bullets Wireless, Bluetooth-enabled earphones that is aimed to take on the likes of Apple’s AirPods and Google’s Pixel Buds.
These earphones are a neckband-style pair of wireless earphones, a feature that is found in a lot of sporty wireless earphones. OnePlus has designed the OnePlus Bullets Wireless to be water-resistant allowing a user to use them whilst working out in the rain. However, one should not expose them for long periods of time to water.
An interesting feature of these earphones is that the earpieces feature a magnetic design that when the buds are attached together, the music automatically pauses. The OnePlus Bullets wireless come loaded with Dash Charge, OnePlus’s technology to offer fast charging. The earphones come with a USB Type-C port that when charged for 10 minutes will provide 5 hours of playback time. A 40-minute charge gives one 8 hours of playback time.
OnePlus Bullets Wireless feature Qualcomm’s aptX support. Commenting on this Qualcomm states, “Our Product Team spent two years testing different prototypes. The biggest problem was that normal Bluetooth causes some sound to be lost on its journey to the earphones. So we used Qualcomm aptX, a technology that delivers CD-like quality audio. It works by reducing the size of the audio file so that it can be transmitted intact along the wireless pipeline.”
The OnePlus Bullets Wireless earphones will be available on June 19 for Rs 3,990 at OnePlus’ online store.
