PUBG is getting a new map today, a snow-drenched 6×6 play space called Vikendi. The map was first shown with a trailer during The Game Awards on Thursday night. The trailer doesn’t tell us much about the map beyond the fact that it’s deeply snowed in, but that rocket in the background looks interesting. Ominous, even. Fortunately for those of you who are curious, you can get a taste of what it’s all about tonight: The Vikendi map is slated to go live on PC on December 19.
As is the case with any PUBG map debut, Vikendi also features new weapons and vehicles. The weapon roster now includes the G36C rifle that shreds enemies over long distances. On the vehicle front, snowmobiles quickly transport squads from one perilous encounter to the next. PUBG is available now on PC and Xbox One with a Dec. 7 release on PS4.
The Vikendi Test Server is currently exclusive to PC.
Additionally, PUBG Mobile 0.10.0 update is now available in beta for Android and iOS, Tencent confirmed this in a post on Reddit earlier today. Right now, there’s no concrete PUBG Mobile 0.10.0 release date. Going by the previous trends, betas have lasted a couple of weeks at the very most before the final release rolled out for all users. There are some interesting additions such as new chat options, enhanced control settings and the MK 47 Mutant gun that’s been available on PUBG Xbox One and PC for a while now.
